Note: RCW 48.01.030 predates IFCA, and its text was not altered by IFCA. This provision is nonetheless important because it establishes the insurer’s duty of good faith toward policyholders. IFCA, itself, is found in subsection (7) of RCW 48.30.010 and the entirety of RCW 48.30.015.
